The tour begins with a drive through George Town, the island’s capital and major financial center. We continue along through the coastal residential district of South Sound with its magnificent homes of the wealthy and on through to the suburban areas of the islands where natives live. You will be shown the island’s first Capital, Bodden Town, and drive by older Caymanian homes. We will then arrive at Cayman’s newest attraction, the Crystal Caves. At this first stop on our tour, you will be guided through a tropical forest to underground caves where you will get to experience “Cayman Down Under” and witness the amazing stalactite and stalagmite crystal structures and otherworldly formations, formed by single drops of water and the slow passage of time. This is a magical experience ensuring amazing pictures. You may even meet a few parrots and bats!

Afterwards, we will drive through more local towns and farmlands along the coast and eventually arrive at a palm fringed beachfront leading to secluded Starfish Point. This is a remote, relaxed beach with shallow, clear water that is home to colorful starfish. If careful, you can hold the starfish and marvel at their beauty with our specialist Tour Guides. To round off your day, we will venture just 10 minutes away to a hot spot for locals on the weekends! A breathtakingly beautiful beach, Rum Point is famous for its tranquility, Caribbean vibe and shallow waters. With great food, cocktails, island music, hammocks, a volleyball arena and water sports, Rum Point has lots of things to do allowing you to enjoy the beautiful crystal clear waters of our island and ultimate relaxation while being far enough from the busyness and crowds of its larger counterpart, 7 Mile Beach.

On the Popular West-Side Island Tour, you are sure to enjoy a well-rounded adventure! After driving by the Cayman Islands Governor’s Residence where we will stop briefly for picture-taking, we will drive along the Seven Mile Beach area before visiting the famed Cayman Turtle Centre. 

At the Cayman Turtle Centre, you will learn all about sea turtles and the conservation efforts of the farm and will have a chance to hold and take pictures with some of the smaller turtles. Kids can stand in mini turtle tanks to play with young turtles and fully enjoy seeing turtle hatchlings and larger turtles that weigh up to 600 pounds! There is also a predator tank with sharks, a turtle lagoon where you can swim freely with young Green Sea Turtles and other colorful marine life and a bird sanctuary. With a bar, restaurant and the largest pool on island which holds 2 waterfalls and a giant water slide, every member of the family will have a blast at the Turtle Centre!

After a fun day with the turtles, we will stop at the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory & Liquor Store for some rum, sweet treats and souvenirs, and then visit the rock formations of Hell for a marvel at nature.

The eastern side of Grand Cayman is packed with adventure and history. In our experience in tourism, we have found that tourists usually only get to see the western side of the island. We found this quite unfortunate and would love to share our island’s history and the off-the-beaten-path hidden gems and preserved ruins with you!

Guided by a local, the tour of the East Side begins with a drive through George Town, the Island’s capital and business centre. We continue along through the coastal residential district of South Sound with its fabulous homes, to arrive at the iconic Pedro St. James Castle in the country side of the island, where locals live. Pedro Castle is a refurbished plantation home built in 1780, which boasts displays of the way of life in the islands around the 1700s along with a multimedia theatre presentation to illustrate the history of the Island and the house itself. It is the birthplace of democracy and a national historic site. 

We will then travel through the district of Bodden Town, the island’s first capital and home to many old Caymanian homes and continue along the coastline to East End where we will stop at the Blow Holes. Here, you can take memorable photos of the deep blue sea raging through limestone cliff rocks behind you in dramatic effect. After reveling at nature’s beauty and power, you will resume the scenic drive along the coast and through local communities.

Our last stop will be the historic Wreck of the Ten Sails which is a shipwreck that is viewable from a park which is perched on a craggy bluff overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea and reef. The shipwreck occurred on February 8, 1794. Ten ships that were part of a convoy on its way from Jamaica to the United States and Britain wrecked on the reef and remains today marking the infamous event. After Pedro Castle, you will then be transported to the Mission House, another centuries-old historic home on the site of another one of the first settlements in the Islands.
